Implantology & Research Overview

Any object or material, such as an alloplastic substance or other tissue, which is partially or completely inserted or grafted into the body for therapeutic, diagnostic, prosthetic, or experimental purposes CODS Academy of Implantology & Research (CAIR) was established in 2015 to train students in implants and also carry out research activities. We have carefully hand-picked well trained staff members with enormous experience and who are competent enough to provide highest quality training to our students with a vision to train and explore new avenues in implant dentistry. It is involved in the rich amalgamation of scientific enquiry and comprehensive dental care service. Department is involved in offering certificate course affiliated by the Rajiv Gandhi University of health Sciences and implant courses in multi-systems. The course involves training of in – house post graduates, interns, private practitioners and foreign students.

Over the past few decades the quantum of growth Implantology has seen is enormous. Implantology is the art and science of diagnosis, planning and treatment of edentulous spaces in jaws and missing facial structures using titanium fixtures called implants. Since the time I joined as HOD of this Department in July 2015, along with the extensive support of the staff, we have seen a rapid growth. This, I would attribute to the unconditional support extended by the management as well as the Director, Principal and Vice-principal.
