Welcome to the department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry. Pediatric dentistry encompasses variety of disciplines, techniques, procedures, and skills that share a common basis with other specialties but are modified and adapted to the unique requirements of infants, children, adolescents and those with special health care needs. Our goals are to provide comprehensive dental care to the children along with extensive undergraduate and postgraduate education and also advance dental science. Our well trained and friendly staff focuses on teaching according to the current curriculum requirements. The department focuses on providing skills to the dental students so as to make them efficient in handling children also emphasizes on behavior management for the effective and superior quality dental services to an ever-increasing population of children. The students are also taught to manage physically, mentally disabled and medically compromised children in an efficient and orderly manner. As dentistry advances, greater emphasis is placed upon prevention to maintain ideal oral health. The department conducts camps where students are encouraged to participate. Our students participate in research projects and have presented papers in various local and national conferences and have been doing very well whether it is in the pursuit of higher education, academics or dental practice. We assure a fruitful education program.
